A well-established secondary school in Wickford is seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to join its team as soon as possible. The school is looking for someone who can bring literature to life, develop students' confidence in written communication and create a classroom environment where every learner is encouraged to achieve their best.
The Role
Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4.
Deliver engaging lessons using a range of literary and non-fiction texts.
Develop analytical writing, comprehension and examination skills.
Use assessment data to identify learning needs and plan targeted support.
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and standardisation.
The Candidate
Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for English.
Can adapt teaching to support a broad range of abilities.
Establishes positive relationships and clear classroom expectations.
Is available to start at short notice.
