Role: English Teacher – KS3–KS4
Location: Diss, Norfolk
Contract: Full-time, fixed-term for one academic year

Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience
A rural comprehensive school is looking for a committed English Teacher to join its teaching team at short notice. The successful candidate will deliver well-structured lessons that develop pupils' confidence in reading, writing and spoken communication.
The Role
- Teach English across KS3 and KS4, following established schemes of work.
- Deliver lessons that develop comprehension, vocabulary, written accuracy and literary analysis.
- Support GCSE preparation through regular exam-style activities.
- Assess pupils' work and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Work with colleagues to support pupils who require additional academic guidance.
The Candidate
- Has QTS and a sound understanding of the English curriculum.
- Can deliver purposeful lessons with clear learning objectives.
- Demonstrates patience, consistency and positive behaviour management.
- Is adaptable and able to join an existing department quickly.
