The Role
As an Early Years Teacher, you will lead a nursery or reception class, creating a stimulating learning environment that inspires curiosity, exploration, and discovery. You will plan and deliver lessons in line with the EYFS curriculum, supporting children’s personal, social, emotional, and academic development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning, delivering, and evaluating creative, play-based learning experiences across all areas of the EYFS curriculum
- Observing and assessing children’s learning and development, using these insights to inform planning and individual support
- Supporting children’s social, emotional, and communication development, promoting confidence and independence
- Differentiating learning to meet the diverse needs of all children, including those with SEND or additional learning requirements
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and risk-taking
- Collaborating with teaching assistants and other staff to support high-quality learning
- Communicating effectively with parents and carers to involve them in their child’s learning journey
- Contributing to whole-school initiatives, staff meetings, and professional development

- Qualified with QTS and experienced in early years teaching (Reception or Nursery)
