About the Role
The Science Technician plays a vital role in ensuring that practical Science lessons run safely, efficiently, and smoothly. You will work closely with teachers and the Head of Science to prepare apparatus, resources, and chemicals for lessons across KS3–KS5, ensuring experiments are engaging, relevant, and well-supported.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and setting up practical equipment and demonstrations
- Supporting teachers during lab activities where necessary
- Ensuring safe storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals
- Maintaining stock levels and ordering supplies
- Keeping laboratories clean, organised, and well-maintained
- Liaising with teaching staff and the technician team to anticipate lesson needs
