A well-established primary school in Watford is looking to appoint a dedicated School Business Manager on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and forward-thinking professional to lead the school's operational functions. Working alongside the Headteacher and leadership team, you'll play a key role in ensuring the school remains financially strong, well-managed, and able to provide the very best environment for pupils and staff.
The Role
As School Business Manager, you'll provide strategic and operational leadership across the school's business services. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing school finances, budgets, and financial reporting
- Leading HR administration and recruitment
- Overseeing site management, facilities, and health & safety
- Managing procurement and external contracts
- Supporting governance and compliance
- Leading office and administrative teams
- Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency
