A values-led secondary school in Watford is seeking a thoughtful and academically confident Religious Education Teacher. The successful candidate will help students develop respectful debate, critical reasoning and a deeper understanding of different worldviews.
The Role
Curriculum Delivery: Teach Religious Education across KS3, GCSE and A-Level.
Philosophical Discussion: Lead thoughtful lessons on ethics, belief and contemporary issues.
Examination Preparation: Support students with extended responses and evaluative writing.
Interfaith Learning: Promote understanding of diverse religious and non-religious perspectives.
Enrichment: Support assemblies, discussion groups and educational visits.
The Candidate
Academic Qualification: A degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Philosophy or a related subject.
Subject Expertise: Strong understanding of religious traditions and ethical theory.
Discussion Skills: Ability to facilitate respectful and challenging debate.
Teaching Quality: Excellent communication and classroom management.
