We are seeking a dedicated Science Technician for a leading mixed secondary school in Walsall to start immediately on a permanent contract. Working as part of an established technical team across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, the successful candidate will ensure the efficient preparation of practical learning materials, chemicals, and specialized laboratory equipment. This is a role for a detail-oriented individual who takes pride in maintaining a safe and productive environment.

The School Environment The school offers a structured, supportive, and grounded workplace where technical staff are recognised as vital peers by the teaching faculty. Requirements * Essential: You must have previous school experience working as a Science Technician within a UK secondary school or college.

  • Essential: You must have the legal right to work in the UK.

  • Thorough working knowledge of CLEAPSS, COSHH, and school laboratory health and safety legislation.

Key Details & Benefits * Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday (Term-time only plus 2 weeks).

  • Salary Range: Β£25,000 – Β£29,500 per annum (competitive regional salary).
