About the Role
You will deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach up to Key Stage 5 where appropriate. You will help students develop their understanding of scientific principles, strengthen their practical skills and build confidence in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering stimulating lessons that cater to different abilities and learning styles.
- Explaining scientific concepts clearly and incorporating practical activities where appropriate.
- Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Maintaining positive classroom behaviour and encouraging active participation.
- Supporting examination preparation through targeted revision and intervention.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to share resources and improve teaching outcomes.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge, effective classroom management skills and a genuine passion for Science.
Applicants should have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Science within a secondary school setting.
- Strong lesson-planning, assessment and organisational skills.
- The ability to adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- A commitment to high expectations and continuous professional development.
