CORE PURPOSE

We require an ambitious, highly quantitative Mathematics Teacher to deliver exceptional maths instruction across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with opportunities to contribute to post-16 advanced pathways.   • GCSE Performance Optimization: Guide Year 11 cohorts systematically through the demands of linear terminal Foundation and Higher tier papers, utilizing highly precise diagnostic questioning to eliminate mathematical misconceptions and maximize high-grade boundary retention.
  • Closing Numeracy & Attainment Gaps: Identify and target learning barriers within mixed-ability cohorts, deploying visual bar models, scaffolded working steps, and targeted numeracy interventions to accelerate progress for all pupils, including those with SEND.
  • Inclusive Pastoral Support: Fulfil full form tutor responsibilities within an established year group structure, supporting pupil wellbeing, managing daily registration routines, and maintaining proactive, positive communication with families.

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching credential, paired with a strong honours degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, or a closely related highly quantitative discipline.
