CORE PURPOSE
We are seeking adaptable, engaging, and proactive Daily Supply Teachers to deliver cover teaching across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5. Working across a wide network of secondary educational settings in Walsall, the successful candidate will step into planned lessons seamlessly, manage classroom dynamics, and maintain a positive, productive learning environment for pupils on a flexible daily basis.

This role offers flexible teaching opportunities across a diverse range of secondary settings throughout the borough of Walsall—including comprehensive secondary schools, sixth form colleges, independent senior schools, and local academy trusts. Supply teachers benefit from clear cover plans, welcoming subject faculties, and varied teaching environments tailored to their preferred travel radius and availability.
KEY TASKS & DAILY OPERATIONS

Cover Lesson Delivery: Deliver pre-planned secondary lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5, ensuring pupils remain engaged, on task, and focused on set work.

Classroom & Behaviour Management: Implement individual school behaviour policies effectively to maintain an orderly, respectful, and safe classroom atmosphere.

Marking & Handover Notes: Collect completed student work at the end of each period, leaving clear handover notes for returning subject staff regarding lesson coverage and progress.

Differentiated Support: Assist students of varying academic abilities with cover tasks, offering guidance to those who need additional support.

Safeguarding & Student Welfare: Uphold strict safeguarding and child protection standards across every school visit, reporting any concerns through designated channels promptly.
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or recognized secondary teaching credentials. Open to secondary subject specialists, experienced teachers, and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) seeking flexible schedules.

Experience: Proven experience teaching or providing cover within UK secondary schools, academies, or colleges.

Skills: Strong classroom presence, excellent communication skills, adaptability across varied secondary subjects, and confidence in managing classroom dynamics.
