The Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging German lessons, supporting pupil progress and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering high-quality German lessons across the relevant age groups.

Developing engaging resources and adapting teaching to meet pupils’ needs.

Assessing and monitoring pupil progress, providing effective feedback and support.

Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management.

Preparing pupils for relevant examinations and supporting strong academic outcomes.

Working collaboratively with colleagues to develop the German curriculum.

Contributing to enrichment activities, trips and the wider school community.

Communicating effectively with pupils, parents and colleagues.

Maintaining accurate assessment and administrative records.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will:

Have QTS and previous experience teaching German in a school setting.

Have strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for modern languages.

Be an engaging and adaptable teacher with excellent classroom management skills.

Have high expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour.

Be confident using IT and digital teaching resources.

Have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

Be committed to safeguarding, inclusion and the wider development of pupils.

Work effectively both independently and as part of a supportive department.
