We are seeking a passionate, creative and dynamic Drama Teacher to join an Outstanding mainstream secondary school in Wakefield. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented practitioner to inspire students across KS3 and KS4, fostering confidence, creativity, performance skills and a love for the performing arts.

As a Drama Teacher, you will deliver a rich and engaging curriculum that encourages students to express themselves, collaborate and develop both technical and performance-based skills. The department hosts regular productions, showcases and enrichment activities, and you will play a key role in supporting the school’s vibrant performing arts culture.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Drama, Performing Arts or a related discipline
  • PGCE or QTS
  • Experience teaching Drama at KS3/4
  • Strong knowledge of performance, devising, script work and theatre techniques
  • Ability to lead or support extracurricular Drama clubs and productions
  • Commitment to fostering creativity, confidence and high achievement

Salary: The salary for this Drama Teacher position will be paid to scale in line with MPS/UPS.
