A highly successful school in Uxbridge is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join its dedicated support team on a full-time basis. About the Role
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will provide targeted support to students with a range of special educational needs, helping them to access learning and develop their confidence and independence.
You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to deliver personalised assistance, contribute to a positive classroom environment and ensure students receive the encouragement and guidance they need to succeed.
Experience and Qualifications

Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational setting

Experience supporting students with SEN is desirable

A patient, nurturing and positive approach

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to build positive relationships with students

Commitment to supporting individual learning and development

Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team
Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required

Assist students with accessing lessons and completing learning activities

Support students' social, emotional and academic development

Adapt support to meet individual needs

Work closely with teachers and other members of staff

Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence
