PE Teacher

A progressive Secondary School in Truro, Cornwall, is seeking a professional and highly organised Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join their experienced and energetic sports faculty. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day instructional support across multiple key stages, specializing in exercise physiology, sports psychology, tactical analysis, and core practical modules. Responsibilities will include maintaining student progress records, updating school tracking systems, managing departmental correspondence, supporting attendance administration, and assisting with the organisation of regional fixtures, sports day logistics, and extracurricular fitness clubs.

You will also support communication with parents, students, and external athletic bodies while ensuring that information is handled professionally and confidentially at all times. Strong organisational skills are essential, as the role requires the ability to coordinate outdoor fixtures, monitor equipment registers, and manage multiple responsibilities within a busy school environment.

The school is looking for someone who is proactive, reliable, and able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative sports faculty. Good IT skills and data literacy are important, alongside strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • Previous teaching or relevant instructional experience in Physical Education up to GCSE and A-Level
