The Role

The successful Teacher of English will take ownership of teaching English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 to 5 (A-Level), inspiring a genuine love of reading and critical analysis. You will join a highly collaborative and well-resourced department, benefiting from dedicated time for resource creation and sharing of best practice. The Teacher of English is expected to contribute to the school's celebrated co-curricular programme, potentially by running a literary society or mentoring students for Oxbridge preparation. This permanent post offers the Teacher of English a stable environment with small class sizes and highly motivated pupils. You will be fully involved in departmental assessment, tracking, and intervention strategies to ensure every pupil achieves their maximum potential as the Teacher of English.
