An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspiring and enthusiastic Media Teacher to join a highly regarded independent school in Taunton, Somerset, from September 2026. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and creative Media lessons, inspiring pupils to develop their understanding of media, communication and digital content. You will encourage students to explore a wide range of media forms while developing their practical, analytical and creative skills.
Working as part of a supportive and ambitious teaching team, the Media Teacher will contribute to a stimulating learning environment in which pupils are encouraged to think critically, communicate effectively and develop their individual creativity.
Role Purpose
The Media Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons across the relevant age and ability ranges. The role will involve teaching the principles of media, developing pupils' understanding of media language, representation, audiences and industry, as well as providing opportunities for practical production work. Media Teacher – Key Responsibilities
