Are you an adaptable KS1 Teacher who enjoys teaching across Year 1 and Year 2 and shaping strong early-years to KS1 transitions? A warm and ambitious primary in Wiltshire is recruiting a KS1 Teacher to join a supportive phase team from January 2026. The KS1 Teacher will teach across KS1 classes as required, design coherent, play-informed and systematic lessons, and oversee targeted interventions to secure rapid progress. This KS1 Teacher role in Wiltshire offers the chance to influence early-phase practice, contribute to professional development and work closely with leaders to refine curriculum sequences. Induction and collaborative planning time will take place before January 2026 so the KS1 Teacher can be ready for the spring term starting January 2026.

Role responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver sequenced KS1 lessons that build robust phonics, reading and mathematics skills.
  • Lead small-group interventions, track impact and refine approaches to accelerate learning.
  • Support transition from Reception into Year 1 and from Year 2 into KS2, ensuring continuity across phases.
  • Work with TAs to provide high-quality scaffolding and to adapt resources for diverse learners across Wiltshire.
  • Contribute to moderation, curriculum development and whole-school improvement projects.

Person specification:

  • Qualified teacher with clear KS1 experience and the flexibility to teach across Year 1 and Year 2.
  • Strong pedagogical knowledge of early reading/phonics and maths progression.
  • Reflective, collaborative and committed to working in Wiltshire; available to start January 2026.
