The role includes teaching KS3 and KS4, alongside a KS5 specialism in your chosen science discipline.

The Role

• Providing strategic and day-to-day leadership of the Science department

• Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 teaching in your specialism

• Leading curriculum planning, assessment, and quality assurance across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics

• Line managing and supporting teaching staff and technicians

• Driving consistently high standards of teaching, learning, and pupil outcomes

• Supporting enrichment, intervention, and progression into STEM pathways

• Contributing to whole-school leadership and improvement initiatives

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• A degree in a Science-related subject

• Proven experience teaching Science up to KS5

• Demonstrable leadership experience within a Science department

• Strong curriculum knowledge and a track record of excellent results

• High expectations for staff performance, pupil behaviour, and achievement

• A confident, organised, and forward-thinking leadership style
