An established independent school in Merton is seeking an experienced Science Technician to join its well-resourced Science Department.
With small classes and excellent practical facilities, the school provides an environment where students can get genuinely hands-on with Science and technicians play an important part in making that possible.
The Role
- Preparing practical experiments across the Sciences
- Setting up apparatus and resources
- Supporting teachers during practical lessons
- Maintaining laboratory equipment
- Preparing and storing chemicals safely
- Managing stock and consumables
- Completing safety checks
- Maintaining COSHH documentation
- Keeping laboratories and prep rooms organised
- Supporting GCSE practical work
About You
Previous school-based Science Technician experience would be highly desirable.
You'll need to be confident working across Biology, Chemistry and Physics and understand the importance of laboratory safety.
