Working closely with the Headteacher, Inclusion Lead and school office, you will monitor attendance, support families where concerns arise and help develop strategies that encourage excellent attendance and punctuality across the school. The successful candidate will be highly organised, compassionate and committed to ensuring every child has the opportunity to attend school regularly and achieve their full potential.

The Attendance Team plays a vital role in promoting excellent attendance while working proactively with families to remove barriers to education. As Attendance Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring daily attendance and punctuality.
- Contacting parents regarding unexplained absences.
- Maintaining accurate attendance records.
- Producing attendance reports for school leaders.
- Identifying attendance trends and patterns.
- Working with families to improve attendance.
- Liaising with external agencies where appropriate.
- Supporting attendance meetings and intervention plans.
- Ensuring statutory attendance procedures are followed.
- Updating the school's management information system.
- Supporting safeguarding and pastoral teams where required.
- Assisting with general administrative duties during busy periods.
