The successful candidate will join a dedicated Computing department and teach Computer Science to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will be responsible for delivering a curriculum that develops students' understanding of programming, computational thinking, algorithms, data and digital technologies.
The school is looking for someone who can make technical concepts accessible and engaging. You should be confident using practical programming activities and able to adapt your teaching so that students of different abilities can make strong progress.
You will contribute to lesson planning, assessment and curriculum development while working closely with colleagues to ensure students receive a consistent learning experience. GCSE Computer Science experience is highly desirable, particularly for candidates who have experience supporting students through examination preparation.
The department encourages students to become independent problem-solvers. The successful teacher will therefore be expected to provide opportunities for pupils to experiment, investigate and apply their knowledge rather than relying solely on theory.
