Wayman Education is seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and dedicated teacher of French and Spanish to join a highly successful modern foreign languages (MFL) department at an exceptional secondary school in Steyning. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality language lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential to contribute to Key Stage 5 delivery for a suitably qualified candidate.

Key responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, engaging French and Spanish lessons that inspire students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Plan and sequence innovative schemes of work that develop students' speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills across both languages.
Assess, track, and report on student progress and attainment in line with exam board specifications, implementing targeted interventions where necessary.
Actively contribute to the wider life of the school and the MFL department, including cultural events, open evenings, and potential language trips.
Maintain high expectations for student behavior and academic achievement, creating a positive, safe, and purposeful learning environment.
Requirements
Qualifications: Must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or QTLS, alongside a degree in French, Spanish, or a closely related discipline.
Experience: A proven track record of teaching French and Spanish within a UK secondary school setting (including successful ITT/PGCE placements).
Skills: Exceptional subject knowledge and fluency in both languages, confident classroom management techniques, and excellent communication skills to engage learners of all abilities.
A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
