Role: Year 4 Class Teacher

A two-form entry primary school in Stevenage is seeking a Year 4 Teacher to provide maternity cover. The school needs a confident practitioner who can maintain continuity of learning, deliver engaging lessons and support pupils as they develop greater independence in Key Stage 2.
The Role
Take responsibility for a Year 4 class.
Plan and deliver lessons across the primary curriculum.
Strengthen reading comprehension, writing and mathematical reasoning.
Assess pupils' progress and adapt teaching accordingly.
Work with the parallel class teacher and support staff to maintain consistent expectations.
The Candidate
Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Has experience teaching primary-aged pupils.
Can manage classroom routines and promote positive behaviour.
Uses differentiation and assessment to meet individual needs.
Is available for an immediate start.
