A welcoming and inclusive 11–18 secondary school in Staffordshire is seeking a dedicated Attendance Officer to join its pastoral and safeguarding team from January 2026.

About the Role

The Attendance Officer plays a crucial role in supporting student welfare and academic success. You’ll be responsible for monitoring daily attendance, liaising with families, and working closely with the pastoral team to reduce persistent absence and promote engagement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring attendance registers and producing reports for senior leaders.
  • Following up absences and contacting parents and carers.
  • Supporting interventions to improve attendance.
  • Working collaboratively with tutors, heads of year and external agencies.
