ASAP Start | Full-Time | Monday to Friday | Temporary – 1 Term+ | £120–£130 per day depending on experience

A school in Hertfordshire is looking for a confident and dependable General Admin Assistant to join its office team on a temporary basis.

You’ll be supporting the day-to-day running of the school office, with a mixture of reception, parent contact and general administration. This would suit someone who enjoys a varied role and is happy to take on whatever needs doing.

Your day will include:

  • Greeting parents, visitors and pupils.

  • Answering the main office phone and dealing with enquiries.

  • Managing emails and general correspondence.

  • Updating pupil and school records.

  • Helping with attendance and routine administrative work.

  • Filing, scanning and preparing documents.

  • Keeping the reception and office areas organised.

  • Providing general support to the school administration team.

What we're looking for

Ideally, you’ll have previous school administration, reception or general office experience.

You’ll need to be comfortable dealing with people, have good computer skills and be able to keep on top of your workload. A calm, friendly approach and good attention to detail are important.

Knowledge of Arbor, SIMS or Bromcom would be useful, although training can be provided on school-specific systems.
