Our client is delighted to be seeking a dedicated and inspiring English Teacher to join a small, well-established independent school in St Albans, known for its nurturing ethos, strong academic foundations, and close-knit community.
Full-time English Teacher required from January 2026. This is a wonderful opportunity for an English Teacher to become part of a warm, collaborative English Department within a charming private school where pupils are known individually, learning is purposeful, and academic ambition is balanced with care and encouragement.

Experience and Qualifications- Qualified English Teacher with strong subject knowledge and a passion for literature and language
- Ability to teach across KS3–KS5 (A Level experience welcomed but not essential)
- A reflective, caring practitioner who values high academic standards alongside pupil wellbeing
- Recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teaching and learning
