Hours: Monday to Friday (8:30am β 12:30pm and 1:30pm β 3:00pm)
Salary: Scale 4 (dependent on experience)

The Opportunity
A welcoming and well-established primary school in St Albans is seeking an experienced School Administrator & Receptionist to join its friendly office team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative support while also spending part of the day managing the school's busy reception. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, proactive and personable individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced school environment.
The Role

Provide efficient administrative support to the school office.

Act as the first point of contact for parents, visitors and external agencies.

Manage reception duties, telephone and email enquiries professionally.

Maintain accurate pupil records and support day-to-day school administration.

Work closely with the leadership team to ensure the smooth running of the school office.
The Ideal Candidate

Has previous experience working in a school office or similar administrative environment.

Is confident managing both administrative responsibilities and front-of-house reception duties.

Has excellent communication and organisational skills.

Is proficient in Microsoft Office and school management systems (such as Arbor, SIMS or Bromcom).

Is able to work independently, prioritise competing tasks and provide outstanding customer service.
