We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join an Outstanding secondary school in Southend-on-Sea from January. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed practitioner to deliver high-quality Science teaching across KS3–KS4, with the potential to teach KS5 depending on experience and specialism.

The successful candidate will join a thriving Science department that places strong emphasis on practical science, academic rigour and student engagement. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing progress effectively and contributing to the continued success of the department.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or a related discipline
  • PGCE / QTS
  • Experience teaching Science at KS3–KS4 (KS5 desirable)

  • Commitment to high expectations, progress and student achievement

Salary: Paid to scale in line with MPS/UPS.
