Our client is seeking an articulate, dynamic Design & Technology Teacher to join their thriving design and engineering faculty from September. This is a full-time, permanent position, ideal for an experienced Main Scale Teacher or an ambitious Early Career Teacher (ECT) with strong practical skills and a commitment to academic excellence.

The successful candidate will teach across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 (A-Level Product Design / Level 3 Vocational Engineering). You will deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons, inspire high standards of CAD/CAM modeling, foster innovative problem-solving skills, and guide students through their course design portfolios (NEA).

The department boasts cutting-edge workshop facilities, including 3D printing suites, CNC machinery, laser cutters, and dedicated digital design suites.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or recognized FE teaching qualifications
  • A degree in Design & Technology, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
  • Proven track record (or potential) to deliver high-quality DT / Product Design teaching up to Key Stage 5 / Level 3
  • Strong knowledge of modern workshop safety standards, risk assessment protocols, and digital design tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, 2D Design)
