About the RoleAs Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-planned work during teacher absence, ensuring pupils remain focused, behaviour is managed consistently and learning continues smoothly.
Key responsibilities will include:- Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4, following set work and lesson instructions
- Establishing a calm, purposeful classroom environment using the school’s routines
- Managing behaviour consistently and escalating concerns appropriately
- Supporting pupils to engage with tasks and maintain good work standards
- Liaising with teaching staff and pastoral teams to share relevant information
- Supporting whole-school systems such as detentions, duty or intervention sessions where required
- Contributing to safeguarding by acting promptly on any welfare concerns
