A supportive primary school in Slough is seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join its committed teaching team. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic primary teacher to deliver engaging lessons, support pupil progress and create a positive classroom environment.
About the Role
The successful Year 2 Teacher will take responsibility for delivering a broad and engaging curriculum while ensuring pupils receive the support and challenge they need to succeed. You will work closely with colleagues to monitor progress and contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the Year 2 curriculum.
- Developing pupils' literacy, numeracy and wider learning skills.
- Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom.
- Assessing and monitoring pupil progress effectively.
- Differentiating learning to meet individual needs and abilities.
- Building strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement.
- Contributing positively to the wider life of the school.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Previous primary teaching experience, ideally within KS1.
- Strong knowledge of the Year 2 curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A creative, engaging and child-centred approach to teaching.
- Commitment to supporting every pupil to achieve their potential.
- A reliable, enthusiastic and professional attitude.
