A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Slough is seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join their staff from January 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Year 1 Teacher who is passionate about early phonics, foundational reading and developing strong learning routines. The appointed Year 1 Teacher will begin their role in January 2026, with a full induction taking place before January 2026 to ensure a confident start.

The Year 1 Teacher will work within a well-structured KS1 department in Slough, delivering engaging phonics sessions, sequencing literacy lessons and developing early mathematical understanding. The Year 1 Teacher will plan creative, differentiated lessons, run guided reading groups and support small-group interventions. As a Year 1 Teacher, you will contribute to year group planning and participate in moderation sessions across Slough.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver structured Year 1 lessons supporting phonics, writing and early maths

  • Track and assess pupil progress and adapt planning accordingly
