An Outstanding All-Through School in Slough is seeking to appoint an experienced and proactive Premises Manager to oversee the effective management of its modern and well-maintained campus. Working closely with the School Business Manager and Senior Leadership Team, you will oversee maintenance operations, contractor management, site security, compliance checks, planned improvement projects, and the coordination of facilities services across the school.
This is a varied leadership role requiring excellent organisational skills, practical problem-solving ability, and experience managing a busy educational site.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the daily operation and maintenance of the school site
- Ensure compliance with health and safety and statutory regulations
- Oversee contractors, maintenance schedules, and improvement projects
- Manage site security, access control, and emergency procedures
- Monitor the condition of buildings, grounds, and facilities
- Maintain accurate compliance records, risk assessments, and maintenance documentation
- Support budget management, procurement, and facilities planning
- Ensure the school environment remains safe, secure, and welcoming for all users

Candidate Requirements- Previous experience in premises, estates, facilities, or site management
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and building maintenance
- Experience managing contractors, compliance, and maintenance programmes
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise workloads and respond effectively to operational challenges
- Experience working within a school or educational setting
- IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent health and safety qualification
- Knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities within schools
- Experience managing facilities budgets and capital improvement projects
