About the School
A highly regarded secondary school in Slough is seeking an experienced Performing Arts Technician to support its busy music, drama and performing arts departments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring technical equipment, rehearsal spaces and performance areas are prepared and maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing performance and rehearsal spaces.
Setting up lighting and sound equipment.
Supporting school productions and performances.
Operating technical equipment during events.
Maintaining musical and technical equipment.
Carrying out basic equipment checks.
Managing storage of technical resources.
Supporting staff with technical requirements.
Assisting with performances and rehearsals.
Reporting faulty or damaged equipment.
Supporting the wider performing arts department.
Requirements
Previous experience working as a Performing Arts Technician within a school is essential.
Practical experience with sound, lighting or stage equipment.
Previous experience supporting school productions.
Good understanding of health and safety.
Organised and practical approach.
Ability to work flexibly around performances and events.
Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
