The Opportunity

We are looking to register experienced and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teachers for daily supply opportunities across Slough.

This is not a permanent or full-time position. Instead, teachers will be offered day-to-day supply assignments based on their availability, experience, preferred locations, and the needs of local schools.

Assignments can range from individual cover days to short blocks, allowing you to continue teaching while maintaining control over your schedule.

The Role

As a Daily Supply Design & Technology Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that combine design theory, material selection, and safe workshop practice.

• Lesson Delivery: Deliver well-structured Design & Technology lessons across the relevant Key Stages.

• Technical Understanding: Support students in developing their knowledge of resistant materials, product design, CAD/CAM, and mechanical principles.

• Workshop Safety: Supervise pupils in the safe handling of hand tools, machines, and manufacturing equipment in compliance with safety standards.

• Design & Evaluation: Encourage students to model ideas, test prototypes, and refine technical solutions.

• Classroom Management: Maintain a secure, structured, and compliant workshop learning environment.

What We Are Looking For

• Excellent classroom management skills.

• A confident and adaptable approach to teaching.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• The ability to quickly establish positive relationships with students.

• Reliability and professionalism.

• A valid legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
