The Role
The Site Assistant will support the day-to-day operational management of the academy site, ensuring that buildings and grounds are safe, secure and maintained to a high standard.
Working closely with the Site Manager, your responsibilities will include:
β’ Opening and closing the premises in line with academy procedures
β’ Carrying out minor maintenance and repairs
β’ Supporting health and safety checks and compliance tasks
β’ Preparing rooms for lessons, examinations and academy events
β’ Monitoring site security and responding to alarms
β’ Supervising contractors where required
The role requires flexibility, practical ability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Candidate Requirements
β’ Previous experience in caretaking, facilities or maintenance (desirable)
β’ Basic DIY and repair skills
β’ Good understanding of health and safety procedures
β’ Reliable, punctual and well-organised
β’ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
β’ Commitment to safeguarding and site security
