The Department & Leadership Culture
You will join a highly collaborative, successful, and expanding Science faculty where the subject is celebrated for its academic standards and practical engagement. Core Responsibilities
- Exemplary Instruction: Delivering high-challenge Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE), with potential opportunities to teach your subject specialty at Key Stage 5 (A-Level) for suitably qualified candidates.
- TLR Area of Responsibility: Leading on a designated strategic area within the faculty (e.g., Key Stage 3 Curriculum Design, Lead Internal Moderator, or Coordinator for a Specific Science Discipline), driving student attainment and tracking data trends.
- Pedagogical Mentorship: Coaching and supporting colleagues within the department, sharing evidence-based teaching practices, and conducting supportive peer-reviews to elevate whole-faculty delivery.
- Empirical Leadership: Leading safe, organized, and impactful laboratory practicals while ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations across your area of responsibility.
