A successful 11–18 academy in Yeovil, rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, is looking to appoint a SENCO to lead the school’s SEND provision from January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent role ideal for an experienced teacher with a strong understanding of inclusive practice and the ability to lead strategically.

About the Role

  • Oversee the strategic direction and day-to-day operation of the school’s SEND provision.
  • Coordinate the writing and review of EHCPs and support plans.
  • Deliver training and guidance to staff on differentiation and classroom support strategies.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure effective communication.
  • Monitor data, track progress, and evaluate the impact of interventions.
  • Lead the SEND team, ensuring resources are used effectively and equitably.
