A vibrant primary school in Harlesden, North West London is seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join their SEN team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. The SEN TA will work with children who require extra support due to a variety of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), and learning difficulties. Support will be delivered on a one-to-one basis, in small intervention groups, or alongside class teachers in the classroom. Key Responsibilities

  • Encourage independence, confidence, and self-esteem
  • Observe and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback to staff
  • Ensure safeguarding policies are followed and pupil welfare is prioritised

  • SEN-related qualifications or training (e.g., Team Teach, Autism Awareness)
  • Experience in specialist provisions or SEN units
  • Background in education, psychology, care, or youth work
