Our client is seeking a reliable, organised, and proactive Science Technician to join a welcoming school in East London. This is a vital support role within the science department, well suited to someone who enjoys working in a busy school environment and supporting high-quality practical science lessons for pupils and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Assisting and preparing practical lessons alongside the Science Teachers
- Ensuring equipment and materials are safely stored when not in use
- Guiding staff and pupils in correct Health & Safety policies
- Maintaining and repairing all resources when required
- Keeping track of what is out of stock and making the necessary orders when needed
- Disposing of hazardous waste in a safe manner
- Right to work in the UK
- Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
- UK Science Degree or overseas equivalent
- Health & Safety knowledge
- Experience in a lab setting or as a Science Technician in a UK school
