Our client is looking to recruit a dedicated Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Bishop's Stortford. This role presents an opportunity to work with students who are developing their understanding of the scientific principles that shape the world around them. The school is seeking a teacher who can deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, combining strong subject knowledge with clear explanations, practical activities and effective assessment.

The successful candidate will help students build confidence in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, according to departmental requirements, while developing their ability to think scientifically and evaluate evidence. The department values teachers who can make challenging topics understandable without compromising subject depth. You should be confident in adapting your explanations to different learners, identifying misconceptions and providing additional support where necessary. The department seeks to foster curiosity and encourage students to approach scientific questions with confidence, accuracy and an open mind. Teachers are encouraged to maintain high expectations, establish consistent classroom routines and create lessons that accommodate different learning needs. Collaborative planning and regular assessment help staff identify areas for development and ensure that students receive appropriate support.
