The Role

The successful candidate will provide day-to-day instructional leadership across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. The timetable will involve delivering a rich, challenging curriculum covering Newtonian mechanics, nuclear physics, and astrophysics at GCSE and A-Level, alongside core general science frameworks across Key Stage 3. Beyond classroom teaching, responsibilities include constructing comprehensive student tracking portfolios, implementing targeted technical intervention tracks for mathematical data calculation fluency, managing laboratory asset logs, and supporting the school's engineering societies and regional astrophysics challenges.
You will act as a primary link with parents, examination boards, and local university engineering networks, requiring absolute professionalism and data accuracy at all times. Strong organisational skills are a prerequisite, as you will balance heavy mock diagnostic marking cycles with real-time digital progress logging and strict laboratory safety compliance tracking (CLEAPSS frameworks).

Requirements
A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) with a degree in Physics or a highly related engineering discipline
Proven experience teaching Physics specifications up to GCSE and A-Level

Professional and proactive approach to managing laboratory health and safety protocols (CLEAPSS frameworks)
