Detailed Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence: You will manage the day-to-day "life" of the school building. This includes checking the heating levels in the winter, ensuring the halls are ventilated in the summer, and keeping a meticulous log of all site repairs and inspections.
- Security & Key Holding: You will be responsible for the first line of defense—the school perimeter. This includes checking fences, maintaining external lighting, and managing the electronic door entry systems across the site.
- Maintenance & Improvement: We encourage our caretakers to be proactive. If you see a way to improve the site—whether that’s building a new storage unit or improving the signage—we want to hear your ideas. You will have a budget for small repairs and the autonomy to manage your own workshop.
- Waste & Environment: You will oversee the waste management contracts, ensuring that the school remains clean and that our carbon footprint is minimized through effective waste segregation.
The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone with a background in building maintenance, facilities management, or a skilled trade.
