We are seeking a highly organised and experienced School Business Manager to join a welcoming, community-focused primary school in Watford on a 1-year maternity cover contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in supporting the school’s financial, administrative, and operational functions.
Location: Watford, Hertfordshire
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only + 2 weeks (1-year maternity cover)
Salary: £37,000 – £44,000 (depending on experience)
Start Date: After October half-term 2025

- Oversee financial management including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting (experience with Xero essential).

- Manage and support the use of systems including Google cloud-based platforms, Arbor, and other administrative tools.
- Work collaboratively as part of the senior leadership team to deliver strategic school priorities.
- Provide a calm, professional presence in interactions with parents, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure financial and operational practices meet statutory requirements and best practice standards.
