A warm Richmond primary is recruiting a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join KS1 on a Full-Time basis from January 2026. The successful Year 2 Teacher will take part in collaborative planning before January 2026, attend an induction programme in January 2026, and lead teaching from January 2026.

This Full-Time Year 2 Teacher role is ideal for someone who loves early primary learning, formative assessment and strong family engagement.

Year 2 Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver daily phonics, guided reading and carefully sequenced writing and mathematics lessons.

  • Lead transition to Year 3, communicate with parents and attend moderation sessions positioned around January 2026.

Year 2 Teacher Requirements:

  • QTS and demonstrable KS1 experience expected.
  • Passionate about phonics, confident with assessment and an effective communicator.
  • Available to prepare prior to January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026.
