DT Technician
A Good Ofsted secondary school in Richmond upon Thames is seeking a practical and organised DT Technician to support their successful Design Technology department. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a well-equipped department where creativity, innovation and practical learning are highly valued.
The successful candidate will support teaching staff by preparing materials, equipment and resources for practical lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5. You will maintain workshops and specialist equipment, ensure resources are available for lessons and assist with stock management and ordering where required.
Responsibilities may include supporting resistant materials, product design and engineering workshops, depending on the needs of the department. You will also ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed consistently and that workshop spaces remain safe, organised and fully operational.
The school is looking for someone with strong practical skills, excellent organisation and the ability to work efficiently within a busy department. The successful candidate should be proactive, reliable and able to support both staff and students positively. Experience working within a workshop, technical or educational environment would be beneficial.
