The Role

As our Year 6 Teacher, you will:
- Lead a motivated Year 6 class, preparing pupils for SATs and the transition to secondary school.
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire curiosity and confidence.
- Assess learning effectively to ensure all pupils make strong progress.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture where every child feels valued and supported.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to promote high standards across the school.
- (If applicable) Take on a subject or phase leadership role as part of a TLR opportunity.
What We’re Looking For
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
- Possess a strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum, SATs preparation and secondary transition.
- Be reflective practitioners with excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Demonstrate creativity, enthusiasm and a commitment to inclusion.

- Be open to taking on subject or phase leadership responsibilities (if seeking a TLR).
