A welcoming and inclusive 11-18 secondary school in Staffordshire is seeking a thoughtful and engaging RE Teacher to join its Humanities and PSHE provision on a part-time basis. This role would suit a teacher who values creating a classroom environment where students feel able to discuss big questions about belief, ethics, and identity with curiosity and respect.
You will teach Religious Education across Key Stage 3 and to GCSE Religious Studies, fostering open and respectful discussion of world faiths, philosophy, and ethics. The role also includes contributing to the school's SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural) provision, leading reflection time or assemblies on a rota basis, and working with the PSHE team to deliver aspects of the wider character education curriculum. You will be expected to maintain accurate records of student progress and to communicate effectively with parents and colleagues.

Requirements
Degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Philosophy, or a related subject, and QTS
Strong subject knowledge across world religions, philosophy, and ethics
Confidence facilitating respectful discussion of sensitive or contested topics
Willingness to contribute to assemblies, reflection time, and SMSC provision
Good communication and interpersonal skills
