An established Independent School in Manchester is seeking a warm and skilled Reception Teacher to join its Early Years team on a Part-Time basis from January 2026. The Independent School provides a nurturing setting where the Reception Teacher will be involved in planning before January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and commence classroom practice from January 2026.

The Reception Teacher will lead language-rich continuous provision, deliver systematic phonics, and use careful observation to assess progress. The Reception Teacher will run family workshops and support transition to Year 1, plan resources prior to January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026.

This Part-Time Reception Teacher post provides concentrated teaching windows while still giving access to the Independent School’s CPD and coaching programme.

The Independent School offers mentoring, reflective coaching, and access to specialist early years training. The Reception Teacher will receive induction in January 2026, join peer observation cycles, and benefit from ongoing development beyond January 2026. Working Part-Time, the Reception Teacher will still be fully integrated into phase planning and will receive performance review and support as with Full-Time colleagues.

We require a Reception Teacher with QTS/EYTS (or equivalent), proven early years expertise, and excellent family-engagement skills. The Reception Teacher must be available for planning sessions before January 2026, induction in January 2026, and to teach from January 2026 in a Part-Time capacity.
