An Outstanding secondary school in Reading is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Science Technician to support their successful Science department. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a well-equipped and high-achieving environment where practical science plays a key role in student learning.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and setting up equipment and materials for practical lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics. You will ensure that all resources are ready for use, maintained to a high standard and stored safely in line with health and safety regulations. You will also support teaching staff during practical lessons when required, assist with stock control and ordering of equipment, and ensure laboratories are kept organised and safe. A good understanding of laboratory procedures and safety practices is essential.
The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. You will be part of a supportive team and play a vital role in enhancing the quality of science education within the school.
